Responsible gambling

🔞 Gambling is for adults only, 18 or older (or the legal age in your jurisdiction). It carries a real risk of losing money. Play only with money you can afford to lose, and never treat it as a source of income.

Why this matters more with crypto

Casinos that accept Ether remove two of the frictions that used to slow gambling down: deposits arrive in under a minute and, on most of the sites we review, there is no verification before you play. That is convenient, and it is also exactly what makes it easy to lose track. A second risk is specific to ETH: the price can move 10–15% in a day, so a balance that looks stable in ETH may be worth much less in the money you bought it with.

Warning signs

  • Depositing again to win back what you have just lost
  • Gambling with money set aside for rent, bills or debt
  • Hiding how much time or money you spend from people close to you
  • Feeling restless or irritable when you are not playing
  • Borrowing, selling possessions or moving crypto out of savings to fund play
  • Playing longer than you intended, or chasing a “zero house edge” allowance to make up for earlier losses

Two or more of these over several weeks are a reason to stop and talk to someone, not a reason to try a different casino.

Tools you can use

  • Deposit limits — a fixed amount per day, week or month. Some casinos in our ranking have them in the account settings; others, including Duel and Shuffle at the time of writing, only apply them on request through support. Ask before you deposit, not after.
  • Session time limits and reality checks — a reminder after a set time of play.
  • Self-exclusion — closing your account for a fixed period or permanently. Every casino we list will do this on request via live chat.
  • Keep funds off the site — transfer only what you plan to use in one session and withdraw winnings immediately. Keeping a large balance at a casino invites the next bet.
  • Blocking software — tools such as Gamban or BetBlocker block gambling sites on your devices and cannot be switched off during the chosen period.

Where to get help

These services are free, confidential and open to anyone regardless of country:

  • Gambling Therapy — online support and a helpline in several languages, run by the Gordon Moody charity
  • Gamblers Anonymous — peer support meetings, in person and online, in many countries
  • GamCare and GambleAware — UK-based organisations whose self-assessment tools and guidance are useful wherever you are

Most countries also have a national gambling helpline; a search for “gambling helpline” with your country’s name will find it.

Our own commitments

  • Every ranking page carries an age warning and a note that legality depends on your jurisdiction.
  • Bonus descriptions state the real wagering conditions rather than the headline percentage.
  • We do not use language that presents gambling as a way to make money or solve financial problems.
  • We do not target minors, and we will remove any content or advertising found to do so.
